The green dot background is from the Dotty For You which is still available until May 31st. Cut it at 5 1/4 x 4” then using a sponge and New England Ivy ink go around the edges. With the same method, do the card base in Goldrush ink inside and out.
To color the flowers I used what I call the Reverse Masking technique. Stamp the large and small flowers without the stem and the leaf on an extra piece of white cardstock leaving extra space around each. Using an exacto knife, cut the flowers and leaf out.
Stamp the large flower on a 3 1/2” white cardstock. I actually used a larger piece then cut it down after coloring. Use the cut out flower as a mask and stamp the leaf. Stamp the smaller flower on the inside of the card.
Now comes the color. Line the cut out large flower with the one stamped on the other paper. Using a sponge dauber and Sunflower ink, start on the cardstock the flower was cut out of and rub the dauber onto the stamped flower. Do this until you get the color you want. Remove the mask. With another sponge dauber and the Goldrush ink start in the center of the flower rub toward the outer edge but not all the way to the edge. Use Chocolate ink with another dauber to do the very center. Use both masks to do the leaves the same way with New England Ivy ink. Stamp “thanks so much” in the upper corner of the flower. Use Goldrush in and the dauber to sponge the edges.
Center the green piece onto the base. Add the 3 1/2” white piece with the flower 1/4” from the top and sides of the green piece. Add tiny Mocha Opaque Adhesive Gems to the center of the flower for dimension and three large ones in the space under the flower.
Friendship Bouquet is available until May 31. It can be purchase for $17.95 or with a $50 order it is $5.
